BAKER & McKENZIE
I have thus begun collecting written materials as well as discussing with fellow cancer patients who are in remission, or others interested in this area of work, the possibility of starting in Taipei a volunteer cancer counselling group. When I am back at Stanford, I plan to contact the American Cancer Society about training programs for such volunteers and hopefully, will be able take part in such a program. Once I am able to return to full time work, I would like to devote one day a week to counselling work. If any of you are aware of special training programs in this area or good educational materials, please let me know.
Finally, I wish to express my appreciation to the many of you who have continued to call or send notes of encouragement and support. Each of these messages was a ray of sun when I was hospitalized. I am indeed blessed. I will "report" again in October when a clear path of treatment has been determined.
