BAKER & McKENZIE
As the first three months or so of the transplant process is reputed to be quite physically grueling, I would appreciate it if you could communicate with me only by mail or telecopy (through either the Taipei or Palo Alto office). Your messages will cheer me greatly; though I will count on your understanding if I do not respond in a short time. As I recover and am able to do so, I will communicate with you again.
I am looking forward with optimism and confidence, as I face what is likely my most
ambitious task to date. My objective is simple - the day when I will be able to walk back into my office and also rejoin my family, in all the activities in which I was involved previously. The only difference will be that each day will begin with a new appreciation of the joy of life and participation in the lives of others. Meanwhile, my best wishes for a wonderful 1995 to each of you!
